Melsungen/Kassel, 09.11.2024: Sozialwerk der Christengemeinschaft Hessen e.V.- Insolvency administrator Jutta Rüdlin successfully restructures the Kassel-based care and childcare facilities
Insolvency administrator and lawyer Jutta Rüdlin, partner at BRRS Rechtsanwälte, has successfully completed the restructuring of Sozialwerk der Christengemeinschaft Hessen e.V. Viable solutions have been found for the care sector and the Waldorf kindergarten, which will ensure the long-term survival of the facilities.
All jobs were saved
Takeover of the Waldorf kindergarten
The business operations of the Waldorf Kindergarten in the Goetheanlage were transferred to VIVA Kita gGmbH, a subsidiary of VIVA Stiftung gGmbH, on October 1, 2024. This takeover is being carried out with the express support of the Association of Waldorf Kindergartens e.V. and ensures that the kindergarten remains a Waldorf institution. All 18 jobs and all childcare places will be retained. The new operator has already initiated talks on membership of the Association of Waldorf Kindergartens in order to ensure the continuity and quality of the educational orientation.
Takeover of the care sector
The care operations, including the Albert-Kolbe-Heim, the Hausgemeinschaften Am Heimbach and the Tagespflege Hermannstraße, were taken over by Sozialwerk Kassel – AnthroCare gGmbH from Dortmund on November 1, 2024. This means that the anthroposophical care concept of the facilities will be retained. All of the more than 100 jobs in the care homes, day care and administration have been secured. Residents, relatives and employees welcome this sustainable solution.
Lawyer Jutta Rüdlin, who was responsible for the restructuring as insolvency administrator, expressed her satisfaction:
“I am very pleased that we were able to find future-oriented solutions for the kindergarten and the care sector. My special thanks go to the dedicated employees who have worked so hard to keep the business running in the difficult months since the insolvency application was filed.”
With the support of Borchers & Kollegen Managementberatung GmbH from Münster, the search for investors, due diligence and the transaction process were successfully implemented. The solutions not only ensure the continued existence of the facilities, but also send a positive signal for the future viability of social institutions in difficult times.
The restructuring is therefore considered to have been successfully completed, and the new operating companies are taking over committed teams and proven, sustainable concepts.
